At the end of a hard day, you deserve a good night's sleep. Here are some suggestions to beat mild insomnia.First, leave your worries outside your bedroom. Don't bring your work into your bedroom. Work in your study or at the office. When you come home, leave your work related worries behind. You can't solve the problem by worrying about it. You'd be better off getting a good night's rest and tackling it with a fresh mind the next morning.Start off with a cup of freshly brewed chamomile tea which you can get from the grocery shop or the supermarket or even the health foor store on your way home. Chamomile is a delightfully soothing herb that would help you relax. Get a bottle of pure lavender oil and pure geranium oil as well. When used together, they have a deliciously relaxing effect that would help you sleep.Do you have a bath tub?Nothing beats a nice warm bath at the end of the day to ease away the tension. Fill the tub with water and add a few drops of lavender oil and 1 drop of geranium oil to it. Agitate the water with your hand before getting in. Take your time to scrub yourself from head to toe. Totally pamper yourself. You deserve itIf you don't have a bath tub, take a shower with your favourite shower gel. When you're done, towel dry then bathe your feet. Fill a basin with warm water, add a few drops of lavender oil to the water and one drop of geranium oil. Then sit on a comfortable chair and soak your feet in that water. A foot bath is just as relaxing as a full body bath.All done?Put on your favorite moisturizer. Then clean and dry your hands and give yourself a foot massage. Massage under each toe with your thumb. Then pinch and massage the webbing between your toes.Close your right hand into a fist and run your knuckles down the sole of your each foot repeatedly for 1 minute... or longer if you'd like.Finally, it is time to get to bed. Reasons For Divorce; What Constitutes Viable Reasons For Thinking About Or Wanting A Divorce?

According to the Center for Disease Control's National Vital Statistics Report of 2002, 50% of first marriages ended in divorce and 60% of remarriages end in divorce. But, the Center for Disease Control also found that 96% of Americans express a personal desire for marriage, and almost three-quarters of Americans believe marriage is a life long commitment. I imagine that there are somewhat similar statistics worldwide.With these kinds of statistics, its easy to see how complex it can be when people think they want a divorce, they have difficulty identifying how a truly viable divorce reason might be defined. Wanting happiness through marriage and wrestling with what may seem an inevitable outcome (a divorce), can be emotionally and mentally challenging. After all, it is human nature to want to feel nurtured and secure, no matter where you live!So, if you're thinking about getting a divorce, what are truly valid reasons for actually getting a divorce?Each government has different laws defining the difference between 'fault' and 'no-fault' divorce reasons that have enough merit that allow for the divorce to be granted. While it makes sense for you to keep this in mind when deciding whether or not to get a divorce because there may be financial considerations to think of, you should first focus on defining your own emotional or "personal" divorce reasons, regardless of what the local governing body says.If you ask 100 people how they define viable reasons for wanting a divorce, you'll most likely get 100 different answers because they'll answer you from their perspective, not yours. Sure, there may be similarities to the way you feel in some of those answers about 'real' divorce reasons, you may even agree with some. But, the real answers to this question can only come from you. Whatever the case, the divorce reason in this example clearly isn't viable and should relatively easy to fix.Often times when people give 'surface' or flimsy reasons for wanting a divorce, they really have much deeper feelings about something and they're just using the shallow divorce reason as an avoidance of some kind. Or, they give these 'foundation-less' reasons for wanting a divorce because they actually aren't aware that there are other deeper rooted reasons that are the cause of the way they feel now.Common reasons that cause people to think about or want to get a divorce:*Couple has conflicting personal beliefs
*Couple's marital satisfaction decreases
*Desertion
*Adultery
*Cruel treatment

*Irretrievable Breakdown of some kindOf course, you should add your own reasons to the list for wanting a divorce, better yet, make your own list of what may be 'valid' reasons. Solid divorce reasons for wanting or going through a divorce usually come from some sort of occurrence, behavioral pattern, and/or change in the viewpoint of the marriage itself.In order to really make a smart divorce decision, you should first list the reasons that you have for wanting a divorce, then examine those divorce reasons for true viability. Then come back to it that list in a day or so. Chances are you will be able to scratch a few of those reasons for wanting a divorce off the list because they were identified purely from an emotional viewpoint rather than logic.If you are thinking about getting a divorce, and haven't clearly identified what reasons you have for feeling the way you do, you'll be doing yourself a 'dis-service' if you act without carefully examining the viability each designated divorce reason. Midwest Gas Price Investigation - Investigation Likely To Continue For At Least Three to Four More M

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued an interim report to
Congress on its investigation into Midwest gas price increases
that was cited at the reasons that the FTC launched the
investigation. It also provides a status report on the
continuing investigation, including progress and a description
of the work not yet done. The report details the history of the
price spikes of reformulated gasoline (RFG) in the Midwestern
part of the country and how these increases caused Commission
staff to initiate a preliminary investigation in June and
prompted the Commission to begin a formal investigation during
the latter part of July.

The report analyzes many conditions reported as potential causes
of the gas price spikes -
ranging from higher than normal crude oil prices, to the
expectation of compliance with EPA Phase II regulations for
summer-blend reformulated gasoline in high-ozone urban areas, to
the damage to the critically important Explorer pipeline during
March. However, the report says that "although it is likely that
each of these supply factors contributed to the dramatic recent
price spikes in the Midwest, no single factor appears from
staff's preliminary investigation to be likely to provide a full
explanation, and staff does not yet have sufficient information
to assess the impact of these factors in combination."

In accordance with the report, Commission staff is investigating
"the possibility of collusion or tacit coordination, conduct
that could be illegal under Section 5 of the Federal Trade
Commission Act." Due to the abundance of potential interwoven
causes as well as the monstrous amount of evidential information
being collected for the course of the investigation, the report
also states that "this investigation is likely to consume, at a
minimum, another three or four months."

The report shows that on June 29, Commission staff issued the
first round of subpoenas to the nine refiners that currently
supply the Midwestern markets and that within the month, staff
has accepted and logged approximately 200 boxes of
documentation. Around mid August, most documents requested from
the first round of subpoenas will be delivered to the Commission
offices. The Commission also issued a second round of subpoenas
to other refiners last week, and has issued Civil Investigative
Demands (CIDs) to the refiners recently, requesting that the
refiners compile data and answers to all of the Commissions
written questions. Commission staff issued another set of
subpoenas on July 25 to the entities that own or control the gas
transportation pipelines serving the Midwest markets of the
United States. Documents from that set of subpoenas are expected
to begin arriving shortly at Commission offices. The report
further details the Commission's plan to conduct a series of in
depth interviews as part of the investigation. Staff has already
conducted nearly 15 interviews with market participants,
consumers, corporate consumers and many others with knowledge of
investigation relevant information, and continues the process of
capturing pertinent industry-wide data from the Oil Price
Information Service (OPIS). After the documentary evidence has
been reviewed and analyzed, staff will take depositions under
oath of key participating personnel throughout the gasoline
distribution chain in the Midwest United States.

Federal Trade Commission staff will also coordinate all of the
investigative efforts with the Attorney General of Michigan,
Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Kentucky, South
Dakota, Indiana, Missouri, and West Virginia.

NFL Owners Conclude Meetings

The NFL owners announced an August 18 date to decide on a new commissioner to replace the retiring Paul Tagliabue.An eight-man committee headed by Dan Rooney (Steelers), Jerry Jones (Cowboys), Jerry Richardson (Panthers) and Al Davis (Raiders) will trim a pre-determined list down to 3-5 individuals and the 32 NFL owners will vote.Leading candidates for the job include Roger Goodell, NFL Chief Operating Officer; Rich McKay, Atlanta Falcons GM; Dick Cass, Baltimore Ravens president and Michael Powell, son of former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former chairman of the FCC.They appear to be the front runners, but more names will be added and a surprise could come forth. The NFL will and should take its time in selecting a new commissioner. The league has been blessed with two of the greatest leaders that any sport has ever had in Pete Rozelle and Tagliabue.Because of them, the National Football League has grown into a multi-billion dollar juggernaut and surpassed baseball years ago as the nations favorite sport. Heck, most teams in the league can draw 40-50,000 for a preseason game! The individual chosen will have gigantic shoes to fill.In other news from the meetings, as expected the league said no to Reggie Bush getting his number changed. He wanted to wear his number five from college, but the NFL has a rule that running backs wear 20-49. Five is reserved for quarterbacks and kickers.The league started the numbers policy back in 1973 and haven't deviated from it except last year when receivers were given permission to wear numbers in the teens. The change was made because of all the tight ends and receivers that make NFL rosters now. Most franchises were running out of numbers in the eighties.The NFL is a league of tradition and I agree with them. Bush knew what the league rules were and no matter how talented he is, he is not bigger then the game. Agree or disagree, those are the rules of the NFL and players have to abide by them.Finally, the owners took one step forward in their determination to have a franchise in L.A. as soon as possible.The NFL will give $10 million dollars, $5 million each to Los Angeles and Anaheim (the two front-runners for a team in the L.A. area) to use towards looking into refurbishing an existing stadium or to look for locations to build a new one.The owners have stated emphatically that they don't want an expansion franchise, because they would have to create a 34th team as well for scheduling purposes. The league really favors the refurbishing of the L.A. Coliseum.The NFL knows that to build a new stadium in the Los Angeles area will run about $600-850 million (chump change!) and the Coliseum is financially better for a new owner, the city and the league to get a team in right away. After the franchise is established in the area and revenues are flowing, then and only then, get to work on a new stadium.Look for the San Diego Chargers or the New Orleans Saints to be the team that will land in L.A. The NFL would love for the Chargers to go. The franchise started in Los Angeles back in 1960 as a member of the old AFL.The league wants to keep the Saints in New Orleans to reward their fans for staying by the team even after the destruction that Katrina left on the city. The problem is owner Tom Benson has wanted to leave New Orleans for years, even before Big K showed up. Louisiana is one of the poorest states in the U.S. and the Superdome, even with the refurbishing it received, is an outdated stadium.Only time will tell, but rest assured, the NFL is firmly resolved to have a franchise in Los Angeles and it's only a matter of time before it happens. Many older people want to stay in their own homes or at least in the same neighborhood. The maintenance and upkeep of a large family home is not always a practical option, physically and financially. But a retirement home sounds so... retired.So, where are you going to live if you leave the home your children grew up in? There are a few options that you might want to explore if you are adamant about not moving into a structured retirement facility.Manufactured Mobile Homes are an increasingly attractive choice for older folks. These homes are affordable, energy efficient, spacious and some of the models are designed especially for seniors, utilizing "universal design" features. If zoning ordinances permit, they can be assembled near or on family property, or moved to a senior mobile home community.Cooperatives are usually found in urban areas. Homes in a cooperative combine the benefits of home ownership with the convenience and efficiency of multi-family housing. This idea appeals to those who want to build equity in their accommodations but don't want the isolation or responsibility of a larger home.Condominiums are also an option. This type of ownership offers many advantages to older people. Condos are different from a conventionally owned single-family home or an apartment. While you are holding title to your own living unit, you share ownership of common areas.Accessory Apartments are worth considering if your house is too large and the utility bills and maintenance are too much for you. An accessory apartment is a second, completely private living unit created in the extra space of a single family home. You may have heard it called a MIL or mother-in-law apartment.ECHO Housing (Elder Cottage Housing Opportunity) or Granny Flats are also an option. These separate, self-contained units are designed for temporary installation in the side or backyard of an adult child's home.Home Matching Programs have been gaining in popularity because of the lack of adequate senior housing. When it works, it is an excellent situation and can enable an older person to stay in his/her own home, while relieving the feelings of isolation and loneliness that many older people experience. A good home-matching service offers counseling to provide help in identifying needs and concerns.Shared Housing is a similar option. This is what the TV sitcom Golden Girls was all about. It can be economical, provide companionship, and provide a sense of security. It is a peer group situation, but it is not for everyone. If you've never lived with others (or have been on your own for many years), you may find it difficult.Adult Foster Care, or Adult Family Homes, is provided in a private home occupied by an individual or a family who will offer room, meals, housekeeping, and minimal supervision for a month fee. Staff are not permitted to administer medications, however, unless they are nurses.Retirement Hotels (also called Senior Resident Hotels or Senior Apartments) are hotels intended for people over 62. Some hotels are high-rises and have landscaped gardens while others are drab concrete shoe boxes, but they are usually built in good locations with nearby public transportation. Rent can include meals and maid service, activities programs, assistance with personal grooming, and access to a chore service for a fee.A Boarding House is when you are basically renting a room, sometimes shared, in someone else's house, with a manager on the premises.Senior Apartment Houses are monthly rentals with a variety of options. Harmful Chemicals in the Meat You Eat?

Many people may not realize it, but much of the meat we eat contains synthetic growth hormones and other chemicals that may be harmful to us. Why would cattle owners want to use growth hormones? It is all about money. Ranchers today want to produce more cattle in a shorter period. A rancher may only have about 14 months to get the calf from a small size, say 80 pounds, to a selling size (around 1,200 pounds). Growth hormones help the cattle put on weight to get them ready for slaughter in record time as well as reducing the amount of fat in the meat. Nitrates are a chemical compound that can also be found in meat today, being used to cure meat and give them a healthy color. Most notably, nitrates are found in hotdogs, giving them their red color.The use of hormones in meat is nothing new. As far back as the 1930s, research shows that estrogen affected the growth rates in both cattle and poultry. By the 1950s, a synthetic (man made) estrogen, DES, was being used to increase cattle size. However, DES was found to cause cancer and is no longer used to "fatten" up cattle and chickens.The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) current approves of five different types of hormones used in food production. Of these, testosterone and progesterone are produced naturally by the animals and zeranol and trenbolone acetate are synthetically made. These hormones are approved for use only in cattle and sheep. Poultry, such as chickens and turkeys, and pigs do not gain much weight when given these hormones, so they are not given them. Most of these hormones are given to the animal by inserting a pellet under the skin of the ear. The pellet releases the hormone and the ears of the animals are thrown away during slaughtered.The concern of scientist and consumers both is that traces of the hormones and chemicals will remain in the meat and pose a potential hazard to humans who consume it. Have you noticed that girls today seem to be reaching puberty at a younger age? It is suspected that this may be due to the steroids found in today's meat. Unfortunately, studies done on the potentially harmful ingredients in meat have proved inconclusive and further studies are needed. One problem when conducting a study is that the animals produce some of the hormones naturally, therefore making it hard to determine how much is natural versus the pellet hormones. Also, the level of hormones produced naturally varies from animal to animal, another hurdle for researchers to overcome. The concern with nitrates, used to cure meats and give them a pink or red color, is that they can be converted into nitrosamines. Nitrosamines are believed to both cause and promote cancer. However, the FDA has no studies that decisively finds nitrates used in meats harmful, therefore continue to allow them to be used in processed foods. What should you as a consumer do? One thing you can do is purchase organic meat. Organic meat comes from livestock raised without hormones or steroids. Also, the cattle are fed grains with no pesticides involved. In 2002, the United States Department of Agriculture developed a system whereas all organic foods (including meat) would be labeled as such. So when shopping, you should see a label on organic meat that signifies that it contains at least 95% organic ingredients. Some grocery stores carry organic meat, but if not, you may have to visit a butcher shop or health food store to find it. You can even buy organic meat through the Internet and have it delivered to your home. However, if you decided to purchase meat online, you may want to first order a small amount. That way, you can determine if it meets all your specifications for delivery time, freshness, etc. before buying a larger quantity.As ranchers strive to find ways to get more cattle to slaughter faster, consumers will continue to be concerned in the methods they are using to do it. Until more research is done, the best thing you can do it try to be aware of all the dangers out there by staying abreast of the current research being done on cattle hormones and chemicals used in processing meats, and purchase organic meat for your family. Picking a domain name should be easy, right? Why, IÂ’ll just use my business name. Not so fast, Sparky. A good bit of thought should be given to selecting a domain name.

A Cautionary Note

Picking a domain name is like getting married. You are going to have to stick with it till the bitter end. People that use your site will come to know it by the domain name. Repeat visitors will often simply type in the domain name to get to the site, better known as “type in traffic”. As an example, do you search for “Amazon” when you want to buy a book or do simply type in amazon.com? If Amazon were to change its domain name to Desert, there would be a lot of confusion. The same goes with your domain. Once you pick something, stick with it.

Your Choices

Well, the obvious choice is your business name, but it may not be the best. There are four significant issues to consider.

First, is there something about your business name that makes using it as a domain an unwise choice? This situation typically arises if you have a long business name or have plural words. “Halstatt’s Rip’n Marketing Campaigns, Inc.” is going to be a horrible domain name. Clients are going to find it difficult to type in such a domain name.

Double letter problems are a second issue that is entirely unique to the Internet. What if Sams Salon wants to use its business name as a domain? The “s” at the end of first word and beginning of the second can cause confusion. Is the domain name Samssalon.com or Samsalon.com? Confusing your users is a bad way to run a site.

The third issue concerns the nature of your site and search engine optimization. If you are shooting for a particular keyword phrase, you may be better off using that keyword phrase in your domain name. Google, for instance, looks at the domain name when evaluating a site. If the words in your domain name are spaced with dashes, many believe it will help in the ranking process. This is why you see so many xxx-xxxx-xxx.com domain names on the net. If your business focuses on a very specific area, strong consideration should be given to using relevant keywords in your domain name.

Finally, your domain name should end in “.com” and I don’t want to hear any argument or see any rolling of the eyes. The simple fact is that when people think of sites, they always type in .com. Yes, there are other extensions and .us, .net, .biz, etc., may seem unique, but it kills your traffic. Pavlov and his dog experiments had it right. People have been mentally conditioned to type in .com, so don’t select any other ending. If you do, a smart competitor will register the .com version of your name to get some free traffic. If you are really lucky, a porn site will do it!

Take a breath before you select a domain name. Like a spouse, it can be either a good or bad choice.

Take your time when looking for a dress. Prom is important! I would recommend taking the above into consideration; remember though that confidence can make any dress look good, so if the dress you really want doesnÂ’t really work for you, Get it! Feel good about yourself and have a same prom.

Global Warming

Earth's average temperature is increasing continuously to a
dangerous extent. Temperature has risen by 0.5 ± 0.2C. Glaciers
are melting across the globe and the gravity of the situation
can be harnessed from the fact that some glaciers have even
disappeared from some parts of the world. In Polar Regions ice
is melting at an alarming speed. Such melting of ice caps is in
turn affecting the sea level. This may give a push to natural
disasters like floods, droughts, hurricanes etc. Human
activities have attributed greatly towards these adverse
conditions.

Extensive studies conducted by the scientists have proved that
global warming cannot be a result of natural changes only.
Emission of gases, which is a major factor in global warming, is
a result of human activities. According to a report prepared by
a U.S. scientific institute, the increase in surface air
temperature and sea temperature is an outcome of accumulation of
greenhouse gases, which in turn is attributable to inconsiderate
human activities. Figures prove that in the last 1000 years,
temperature of surface of the earth has been recorded as the
warmest in the 20th century. From last 150 years green house
gases are being accumulated in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is
increasing in the atmosphere due to deforestation and fuel
burning. Along with it, emission of other greenhouse gases like
methane, chlorofluorocarbons is also polluting the atmosphere.
The contribution of volcanic gas emissions in global warming is
also a major one. Statistics show that before the year 1750,
volcanoes and solar forces were contributing about 50 percent
towards global warming but in the recent years the effect of
green house gases on temperature variations has risen up to
eight times.

The pattern of global warming is not uniform throughout the
whole world. Due to the changes in the atmosphere some cooling
effect is also seen in the Atlantic and central North Pacific.
Burning of fossil fuels makes the environment polluted by
changing the balance or constitution of aerosols and gases in
the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide has long survival time in the
atmosphere. Development of industrial sector is resulting in
increase in emission of other gases like methane etc. These
greenhouse gases make the surface of the earth warmer by
blocking the radiations of the sun and increasing the
evaporation rate of the surface moisture. The humidity in the
environment is also mounting due to global warming. The threat
of floods is lurking large because of rise in frequency of
rainfalls and snowfalls. Increase in evaporation also raises the
risk of droughts. It may also result in amplifying numerous
kinds of viral infections.

Some scientists do not accept human activities as culprit for
global warming but there are numerous instances from which human
hand in global warming is clearly visible. The process of global
warming and its results are very gradual so the outcome would
not be visible to a large extent to the present generation. But
the consequences of global warming would be very dangerous for
the future generations. The long term accumulated adverse
effects would start coming in limelight. Extreme weather
conditions like heavy rainfalls, humid weather, floods, droughts
would be very devastating.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is an
international agreement which was enforced on March 21,1994. Its
main goal is to control the emission of greenhouse gases in the
atmosphere, which pose a threat to climate system. Kyoto
protocol is an international agreement that has been framed as
an amendment to the UNFCC with the same objective. Recent
estimates make it clear that if this protocol becomes successful
it would greatly help in maintaining the temperature of the
earth. Kyoto Protocol was agreed upon in Kyoto on December 1997
and was enforced on February 2005. All the countries, which have
signed or ratified UNFCC are allowed to sign or ratify Kyoto
Protocol. This agreement has been ratified by 156 countries. The
goal of this agreement is to reduce the collective emission of
carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases like methane, nitrous
oxide etc. The limits for controlling emissions are different
for different nations like 8% for European Nations, 6% for Japan
etc. The developed countries are directed to provide technology
for attaining knowledge and completing projects concerning
environment, to other countries. Two countries USA and Australia
are not in favour of Kyoto Protocol. Some critics treat this
agreement as a hindrance to industrial growth of the world and
transfer of wealth to not so technologically advanced third
world countries.

Except the oppositon put forth by a few countries, collective
positive steps towards reducing global warming has now become
mandatory for almost whole of the world. As global warming is a
gradual process, efforts of present generation would be fruitful
for future genertions.

Removing Mold Stains from Your Hardwood Floors

Wood floors are a glorious addition to your home, as well as extremely practical. They are good in all types of weather and last a very long time, as long as they're taken care of. And that's where things get a bit soggy-literally. Even if you're super careful with your floor, any water or liquid left standing for a long time can cause mold to develop.This is especially true of plant and flower pots that are kept inside and leak. Now the leak may be quite small so that you don't notice it for months, and then you realize that the floor around the plant is looking a little worse for wear. You lift the plant up and lo and behold, a moldy mess has established itself into the cracks of your beautiful hardwood floor.Not to worry, however, as there are ways to get rid of the mold, and if it is finished like most floors, the wood itself will remain in tact and unharmed; only the finish will suffer.The first thing to do is buy a scraper from your local hardware store. Size doesn't really matter, but it should be at least eight inches wide and a few inches high. Pull along the grain of the wood and adjust the pressure just so the edge is scraping the finish. Don't dig in too deep, as you can mar the wood.Next, purchase a sanding sponge specifically for finish removal (180 grit will work fine too) at your hardware store or shop. Sand, again, along the grain until the mold, or most of it, is gone. If there is still some residue left after all this use a very small amount of diluted Clorox bleach on the area. You have to be careful, though, as too concentrated of a solution can ruin the floor.After you're done sanding or bleaching, run two hundred grit sand paper lightly over the wood. Re-finish the wood with the same finish, if possible. If not, find the nearest match, but do be careful as matching finishes can be tough. Always test a tiny, hidden, and out of the way spot before you do anything, and that includes using the bleach solution.Hopefully this clears up your mold problem, but prevention is the best protection. Make sure any flower or plant pots you have in the house are properly potted without the possibility of leaking, and ensure that any pet urine or other water spill is cleaned up as soon as possible. Bluetooth Can Be Cracked!

Adobe has recently released a patch for a security hole in different graphical software, so why should Bluetooth be safe?... and Bluetooth isn't safe off course! ;)Two researchers of the Tel Aviv University School of Electrical Engineering Systems say they have discovered a technique for taking control of Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones. After you've established a connection with an other cell phone, the attacker can easily make calls with your phone. If there is a Bluetooth connection with a PC, the hacker can even transfer data between his Bluetooth device / cell phone and the hacked computer. Bluetooth can be very dangerous as you can see! Even when the handsets have security features switched on, your cell phone isn't save at all!Avishai Wool, senior lecturer and Yaniv Shaked, graduate student and both researchers of the Tel Aviv University School of Electrical Engineering Systems have published recently a paper about three methods for forcing a repeat of the pairing process, "Cracking the Bluetooth PIN" ( http://www.eng.tau.ac.il/~yash/shaked-wool-mobisys05/ ).
In this paper, a passive attack is described, in which an attacker can find the PIN used during the pairing process.

A few years ago my own town enacted its first rental regulations. The fifteen pages of new rules included many non-safety-related requirements, like a minimum of windows, to allow natural lighting, bedroom square-footage requirements, and no peeling paint.These things are done in the name of low income renters, and yet the result is always the same: higher rent. With that and the regulations against mobiles homes, low income families are moving further away from town and jobs. Can England Win The Fifa World Cup?

The football world cup is creeping ever closer and the question that many of my friends are asking is whether our team England can win the tournament. In this article I give my opinion on this matter, I hope you enjoy the read.I think that this year England have one of the best teams they have had since probably the early nineteen-nineties. In saying that however there are a number of other very strong teams which have the potential of ruining our and the teams dreams. I will write about these teams later in the article.I think Steven Gerrard has been one of the most consistent players in the premiership over the last couple of seasons and he will be entering into this tournament in prime form. After lifting the champions league with Liverpool last season he will be hungry for more success. He truly is a world class player.David Beckham has had mixed fortunes at Real Madrid. He has shown some good form at a time when the club have failed to win any silverware. Despite what some people may think, David will be one of the proudest members of the team if they prove successful. His performance against Greece a few years ago was one of the best I have ever seen.Sven Goran Erickson has many critics but will be desperate for his own personal c.v to win the tournament. He may seem to have a lack of passion but would love to sign off his English career with what would be a huge success.The biggest problem for England could be the fitness of Wayne Rooney. Will he or won't he play a role? If he does play a role, will it be at full fitness? If England had a fit Wayne Rooney I believe that they would have a great chance of lifting the trophy. The injury he picked up recently however, may in my opinion put pay to the teams hope of being able to win the tournament. I think they will do well but will just not have quite enough invention without Rooney to win it. I hope I am wrong of course.Other teams to look out for include Italy, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Portugal and France. I think as I am sure many other people do that Brazil will win the tournament. They have the most world class players out of any team and have plenty of experience of winning football matches.If England do not win the world cup this year, I think it will be a big opportunity missed. The Latest Money Saving Group Health Insurance Strategies for California Employers

1. Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

This is a strategy where the employer buys a health plan with a large deductible. Typically, these are groups that are coming from a plan with a very low deductible. Since the higher deductible plans are usually much less money, the money saved is used to put into the employee's "Health Savings Account." The money in this account is used by the employee to pay qualified medical expenses. If it's not used, the money rolls over to the next year. The money belongs to the employee, even if they leave the company.

2. Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA)

This is very similar to the HSA above but a portion of the qualified medical expenses not covered by the insurance is "pledged" by the employer, that is, the employer only spends the money, if there is a portion of the bill not paid by the insurance. This would be more favorable to the employer since on an HSA the money goes to the employee, whether there are claims or not. The problem with HRAs is that there are very few carriers that offer them right now.

3. Medical Reimbursement Accounts

This is very similar to HRAs above and extremely flexible. It's otherwise known as partial self-funding. Employer buys a larger deductible and if the employee uses up that deductible, the employer pays all or a portion of it, depending on how a pre-arranged agreement is written. This goes for other expenses not paid by the insurance. The idea is that the employer self insures the typically smaller expenses with their own cash, (presumably, the savings in premium dollars from going to a higher deductible.) The downside to this is that many carriers prohibit the use of this strategy with their plans. It can be very effective but make sure you use an experienced third party administrator as there may be some legal and tax documentation required. Otherwise known as Section 105.

4. Kaiser.

More and more groups are moving to Kaiser. It is typically, benefit for benefit, less money than just about every other plan. Kaiser is spending billions on the future and their quality control is promising.

5. Offering Blue Cross and Kaiser side by side. Blue Cross has a new program where only five employees need to enroll with Blue Cross. The rest can be with Kaiser. This is a ground breaking opportunity in flexibility.

6. Blue Cross Elect. Blue Cross has a portfolio called Elect with 16 plans in it comprised of HMOs, PPOs, and an EPO plan. Each of these plans is priced from low premiums up to a much higher premium.

The beauty of this program is that Blue Cross allows the employer to "define" how much premium they are willing to pay towards an employee's cost. For example, Blue Cross offers a $10, $20, $25, $30, $35, and a $40 copay PPO plan. The $10 plan is the most expensive of this group.

After viewing all of the premiums for the various plans, the employer can establish, arbitrarily, which plan they are willing to pay, say the employee only premium for. In this case, let's say it's the $25 copay plan. The employee can buy the $25 copay plan and it doesn't cost them anything. However, if they want the more expensive $10 copay plan, the employer would payroll deduct the difference in premium costs.

Let's say they have dependents they want to cover but the employer only wants to pay for the employee only. The employee could take the lesser expensive $40 copay plan, and use a little bit of the savings to help them with the costs of adding their dependents.

This has been a highly successful program because it gives the employees a greater number of choices, helping the employees be more definitive in their costs and needs, and at the same time, allows the employer to more efficiently define their costs.

Part of it is moving from one peak to the next. If you rest too long in between, you might be tempted to quit. Leave the past in the past. Climb the next mountain and enjoy the view.6. Setbacks are included in the price tag of success; they teach tenacity and provide experiences that let us achieve our goals with compassion and dignity.9. Whether it takes ten minutes, a hundred plans, or a lifetime, we can achieve our goals only if we take a stand and begin. Our Creator provides the talent, desire, and a limited number of chances to show up at the starting line. Today is another of those chances.11. Passion behind a clear goal is a powerful force. You can gain enormous control over that force by focusing on one small step that you need to take.12. The Creator placed the seeds of success in the exact place we would need them; they live inside of us, waiting to germinate, grow, and blossom.
