Make Security Your Business

When I do a small business security check, I always start with the exterior of the building checking the fences, gates,walls and entrances for upkeep. A run down building exterior with lots of obstacles and materials lying around can be an invitation to a burglar.Check air ventilation systems and gratings for easy burglar access. In some cases you may have to install heavy grills or bars over those vulnerable areas.Concrete barriers like planters, curbs or my favorite, bollards (concrete posts) are effective in stopping vehicle attacks. It's always a good idea to consult your landlord or the city for permission to install this type of security.Examine all exterior doors carefully, checking for solid core construction and no less than 13/4 inches in thickness. Make sure all exterior doors have at least two number one grade deadbolt locks on all entry doors and drop bars on non entry doors where allowed by the fire department. Make sure mail boxes are not located near the lock areas.Laminated glass is an effective way to add strength to glass areas, you may also want to consider securing your windows with metal grills. (You must check with the fire department before adding grills to windows).Another effective option are roll shutters which over the last few years are becoming a favorite with several business owners. Please keep in mind if you decide to install roll shutters, a vehicle could still penetrate them, so team them up with concrete barriers in those vulnerable areas.Don't forget about your roof! All access routes to the roof should be restricted. In some cases you may have to incorporate measures to prevent burglars from scaling the walls to gain access to the roof. This is done by keeping trees near the building well-trimmed and making sure all fire escape ladders are secure.Skylights, open fan systems or vents should be checked for easy entry and secured with internally fitted bars or security grills. Make sure you abide by the cities bylaws when deciding to secure these areas.Remember, the rear of your business is the most desirable area for a crook, so why not turn them off by installing lots of direct lighting and showcase their bad intentions.Make sure you install lighting high enough to prevent the thieves from unscrewing the bulbs. If you can't get your lighting high enough, install a cage around them to protect the bulbs.Install an alarm system in your business and make sure you monitor it. After all you have a lot to protect, and you want to generate a police response as quick as you can. You will be notified in the event of a break-in by the monitoring company as well, giving you the option of attending while the police make their rounds.Spend a little extra and install a cellular back-up on your business alarm system. Toyota Hitch as a Vital Auto Equipment

In your Toyota, safely transporting goods, cargos, materials, and various equipments are made possible with the use of a trailer. This is generally an unpowered vehicle that is pulled by a powered vehicle. Trailers ranges in sizes from single-axle dollies to 6-axle, 13 ft., and 53 ft. long semi trailers, which are capable of carrying tons of loads during vehicle travel. There are different types of trailers for different types of vehicles. Enclosed toy trailers and motorcycle trailers can be towed by a pick-up truck or van. Specialized trailers, such as open air motorcycle trailers and bicycle trailers can be towed by smaller vehicles. Other trailers such as utility trailers, semi-trailers and travel trailers or campers are designed in a single multiple axle varieties to match with varying sizes of tow vehicles. There are also highly sophisticated trailers like the genset trailers with their link which are used to power the towing vehicle. All these trailers are rigidly attached to the vehicle with the use of a Toyota Hitch. This is a high strength device that allows the vehicle to pull a trailer. The Toyota trailer hitch is specifically designed to secure the trailer to the towing vehicle. It is connected to a trailer ball. This forms a ball and socket linkage that allows for the relative movement between the towing vehicle and the trailer, allowing them to move in synch during vehicle travel. This is necessary to keep the trailer in perfect coordination with the vehicle as it runs over uneven road surfaces. The trailer ball is located in the draw bar, which is normally detachable. The draw bar is attached securely to the trailer hitch. And this is done by inserting it into the hitch receiver and pinning it. The trailer hitch is needed to draw a trailer with a vehicle. A trailer jack is employed to lift the trailer to a certain height that would allow the trailer to be hitched or unhitched to and from the towing vehicle. This is also used in order to level the trailer during storage. Common types of trailer jacks are the A-frame hacks, Swivel jacks, and the Drop-leg jacks.The Toyota hitch ensures that the trailer is attached to the towing vehicles chassis. It is basically a receiver that is bolted to the chassis and is capable of carrying light to larger loads. It is made from highly durable materials that make tampering virtually impossible. For safe towing, the right combination of vehicle and trailer is a must and should come along with the correct loading, horizontally and vertically on the tow-ball. This should be followed to prevent potential problems since an unstable combination can lead to serious accidents and can even kill. To provide protection to the trailer and prevent it from being robbed, some hitches are equipped with a hitch lock that is designed to provide two functions: to fully enclose the hitch for maximum protection and to encase the lock that will keep it secure. Since the trailer represents a large investment, it is just right to keep it always protected. The trailer hitch has the capacity to carry light to heavy loads and provides for all the vehicles towing needs.
